Created to meet the needs of both beginner and advanced Aikidoka, this lightweight Aikidogi was designed by our team with a longer jacket and slightly shorter sleeves.

This model was born from a close collaboration between Seido, the only Aikido equipment brand run by Aikidoka, and KuSakura, the most experienced and skilled Dogi manufacturer in Japan. KuSakura, inventor of the modern Judogi, is the only manufacturer controlling its entire production chain, from weaving to quality control of the finished product.

We wanted to offer a model that is lightweight, durable, and resilient enough for intense practice, entirely made in Japan, yet still affordable. We also needed guaranteed fast production without compromising on high-quality finishing. There was only one option: we had to strengthen our partnership and work in tandem with KuSakura to produce the best product on the market in terms of cost and performance.

To keep this Aikido jacket as light as possible, we chose one of KuSakura’s traditional fabrics called "Kosashiko". It resembles classic rice grain fabric but with smaller and finer grains, making it incredibly soft and easy to wear while benefiting from the typical durability of "Sashiko"-type fabric.

For optimal comfort and an appealing shape, we opted for a collar made from the same "Kosashiko" fabric. And since one of the goals was to make it as comfortable and soft as possible, we also removed the chest reinforcement.

The sizing is designed to fit almost all body types. The weight indicated in the options selection area represents the ideal recommended weight range relative to the size. For example: 4 (165 ~ 175 cm | 55 ~ 70 kg) means practitioners who are 165 cm and around 55 to 60 kg or 175 cm and around 65 to 70 kg will achieve a perfect fit.

For practitioners slimmer than the recommended size, we suggest choosing a half size smaller.

For practitioners taller than the recommended size, the size offers an acceptable fit up to +10 kg (for example, 170 cm and 80 kg).

The pants offered with this product are the KS100 pants. Unlike our other models, these Aikido pants do not have double layering on the knees and are therefore less durable than higher-quality models, especially for Suwariwaza practice. Very light and very comfortable, they will please Aikidoka looking for lightweight gear.

Despite its reduced price, this model is 100% made in Japan.
